DoorDash is a food delivery platform that connects customers with restaurants and businesses. With a 56% market share, it is the largest food delivery company in the United States. Doordash was founded in 2013 by Andy Fang, Evan Moore, Stanley Tang, and Tony Xu. After graduating from the Y-Combinator accelerators S13 batch, Doordash raised a $2.4 million seed round led by Khosla Ventures in September 2013. Here you can watch founder Tony Xu pitching Doordash at YC Demo Day. One year later, Sequoia Capital led the company's $17.3M Series A round.
