Flock Safety Pitch Deck

Atlanta-based startup Flock Safety was founded in 2017 by Garrett Langley, and graduated from Y Combinator's W17 batch later that year. Flock develops technology with the mission of eliminate violent crime. Within 60 days of building their first prototype license plate reader, Flock had provided evidence for the first arrest. Flock initially sold to HOAs and police departments.

In 2019, Flock signed their first police department deal with Jersey Village, Texas.

The slides you see here are from Langley's pitch at a venture conference one month before closing a $47M Series C round in November 2020.
The following July, Andreessen Horowitz led a $150M Series D investment in Flock as a cornerstone of their American Dynamism practice. Additional slides are included from keynote and sales presentations used in 2023.

According to these slides, in late 2020, Flock was in 42 states, and claimed to have reduced crime by 60% while growing revenues 10% annually. By 2023, Flock reported they scanned over a billion license plates annually, operated in 49 states, and hit an estimated $175M in annually revenue, which nearly doubled to $300M the following year.

Today, Flock is reportedly used by one-third of law enforcement agencies in the US. The company has raised a total of over $900M from investors and reportedly operates nearly 90,000+ cameras around the nation.
