The on-demand delivery service first launched in San Francisco with ~200 couriers, and quickly expanded to Seattle in 2013 followed by other US metros. At the time of the Uber acquisition, Postmates operated in over 4,200 cities in all 50 states of the United States offering local delivery of restaurant-prepared meals and various goods. Postmates' last reported annual revenue was $730 million in 2021 and was still growing steadily at 14% year-over-year.
